We live in a time ripe for improving the delivery of educational services to children with Down syndrome. DSF is privileged to participate in and help create stronger educational opportunities in the following ways:   The Learning Program is a model for other programs across the United States. We are strategizing and working with Down syndrome associations across the country interested in starting similar programs. Over the next few months we will be lecturing and/or training in Northern California, Missouri, New Mexico and Florida.     We offer free Learning Program materials through this website. To date, over 550 users have registered to download these materials. These users represent parents, educators, and therapists from 47 states and eight countries.     We continue to provide direct monthly service to approximately 80 families in Orange County. This year we added family consults with our Learning Program Consultation Team to help parents fine-tune use of Learning Program materials or receive direct specific therapy activities for home-use.     We have begun a six-part evening seminar series through DSAOC to reach teachers and families who cannot attend the more intensive monthly program.     We continue to provide an educational forum for families through our Learning Program Yahoo Groups listserv.
